Summary: the research aspires to know the effective respect of human rights and prevention and punishment mechanisms for torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. Firstly, we try to show a series of indicators of the situations under analysis and, secondly, to make some Recommendations in order to implement formulas, public policies and mechanisms for the effective prevention and punishment of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatments in segregation institutions of the Spanish State.
